【摘要】:Thepurposeofthispracticeistoestablishviscositydesignationsderivedfromviscositiesmeasuredbytestmethodswhichhaveameaningfulrelationshiptohydraulicfluidperformance.Thispermitslubricantsuppliers,lubricantusers,andequipmentdesignerstohaveauniformandcommonbasisfordesignating,specifying,orselectingtheviscositycharacteristicsofhydraulicfluids.ThispracticeisnotintendedtobeareplacementforClassificationD2422.Rather,itisanenhancementintendedtoprovideabetterdescriptionoftheviscositycharacteristicsoflubricantsusedashydraulicfluids.Thispracticeimpliesnoevaluationofhydraulicoilqualityotherthanitsviscosityandshearstabilityundertheconditionsspecified.Whileitisnotintendedforotherfunctionalfluids,thispracticemaybeusefulinhigh-shear-stressapplicationswhereviscosityindex(VI)improversareusedtoextendtheusefuloperatingtemperaturerangeofthefluid.Thispracticedoesnotapplytootherlubricantsforwhichviscosityclassificationsystemsalreadyexist,forexample,SAEJ300forautomotiveengineoilsandSAEJ306foraxleandmanualtransmissionlubricants.1.1Thispracticecoversallhydraulicfluidsbasedeitheronpetroleum,synthetic,ornaturally-occurringbasestocks.Itisnotintendedforwater-containinghydraulicfluids.1.2Fordeterminationofviscositiesatlowtemperature,thispracticeusesmillipascalx00B7;second(mPax00B7;s)astheunitofviscosity.Forreference,1mPax00B7;sisequivalentto1centipoise(cP).Fordeterminationofviscositiesathightemperature,thispracticeusesmillimetresquaredpersecond(mm2/s)astheunitofkinematicviscosity.Forreference,1mm2/sisequivalentto1centistoke(cSt).1.3Thispracticeisapplicabletofluidsranginginkinematicviscosityfromabout4to150mm2/sasmeasuredatareferencetemperatureof40x00B0;Candtotemperaturesfromx2212;50to+16x00B0;Cforafluidviscosityof750mPax00B7;s.Note18212;Fluidsoflesserorgreaterviscositythantherangedescribedin1.3areseldomusedashydraulicfluids.Anymathematicalextrapolationofthesystemtoeitherhigherorlowerviscositygradesmaynotbeappropriate.Anyneedtoexpandthesystemshouldbeevaluatedonitsownmerit.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.
