【摘要】:Thismethodisintendedtosimulatetheperformanceofvariousairbarriermaterials/accessorieswhencombinedintoanassembly.Basedupontheresultsofthemeasurements,thisprocedurethenassignsanairleakageratingfortheairbarrierassembly.Thismethoddoesnotpurporttoestablishallcriterianecessaryforconsiderationintheselectionofanairbarrierassembly.Theresultsareintendedtobeusedforcomparisonpurposesandmaynotrepresentthefieldinstalledperformanceoftheairbarrierassemblywheninstalledaspartofanairbarriersysteminabuilding.However,theresultsofthesetestsmaybeusefulindeterminingtheappropriateuseofaspecifiedairbarriersystemassembly.Thismethoddoesnotpurporttoestablishallcriterianecessaryforairbarriersystemsofallconstructiontypes.TestMethodE2178providesanairpermeancetestmethodfortestingofsomeairbarriermaterials.SpecificationE1677providesaspecificationforairbarriersystemsforlow-riseframedbuildingwalls.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftheairleakagerateofairbarrierassembliesthatareusedinbuildingenclosures.Thisproceduremeasurestheairleakageofarepresentativeairbarrierassemblybeforeandafterexposuretospecificconditioningcyclesandthenassignsaratingdependentupontheresults.Althoughthisisalaboratoryprocedure,themethodmayalsobeappliedtositemockups.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
